What is Verba Vitae?
Created in partnership between Lutherans For Life and the Institute of Lutheran Theology, Verba Vitae is an academic journal about life and its significance as it relates to real-world issues. Modeling the reasoned logos of the theological tradition, Verba Vitae brings the classical Christian tradition into conversation with life issues now confronting us, exploring the truth-claims made by thinkers and examining the grounds upon which these assertions are made.
How Can I Subscribe?
Verba Vitae journal is currently accessible at no cost, online at verba-vitae.org.
Paid subscriptions for hard copy printed issues will begin shipping in Spring 2026.

Subscription Options
Initial hard-copy subscription options will be:
- $50 for 1-year (does not auto-renew)
- $95 for 2-years (does not auto-renew)
- $45 per year for continuous subscription (billed yearly*)
- $100 for 1-year institutional & library subscriptions
* Subscription auto-renews at whatever cost a renewal is at the time of the given renewal time
